About PIG

PIG brings together experience in software engineering, linguistics, and cultural heritage.

For many years we have worked with museums, galleries, libraries, archives, and cultural organizations—designing publications, developing digital platforms, and helping institutions preserve and present cultural knowledge.

Our experience includes museum publications for the National Museum of Korea, the development of digital platforms for museums and galleries, and long-term involvement in Korean cultural heritage and museum practice.

PIG runs on a maintained production environment using Django, PostgreSQL, Gunicorn, and Nginx. Background tasks are handled separately through Celery and Redis so scheduled work and notifications do not interrupt the main website.

PIG is not built on an outdated or abandoned setup. It runs on a current Linux server environment with actively maintained tools such as Django, PostgreSQL, Nginx, Gunicorn, Redis, and Celery. This means the service is built with software that continues to receive updates, security fixes, and long-term support, which is important for any website expected to remain useful over time.

PIG does not treat a website as a disposable page made only for short-term display. A project is expected to remain understandable, maintainable, and useful over time. This is why planning, structure, content, and long-term operation are treated as part of the work, not as optional extras added later.
